Safe grip for the IKEA 365+ glass container
Hot meals like potato gratin or lasagna often come straight from the oven or microwave and at that moment, the glass container becomes difficult to handle. You want to enjoy the food right away without burning your fingers. The sleeve solves this by making it easy and safe to hold the container without the need for extra potholders or trays.
The design had to stay minimal and not change the clear appearance of the 365+ container. The goal was to add function without redefining the form. The sleeve integrates seamlessly, keeps the silhouette intact, and matches the reduced aesthetic. It is not a new container but a thoughtful extension that makes everyday use more practical.
The visualizations were created in KeyShot. Different materials, textures, and animations were explored to illustrate how the sleeve performs in various scenarios. This process made it possible to evaluate color, surface, and light effects on the overall impression at an early stage.
