Companion app for eBikes
In my current design project, I have developed a companion app for an eBike that turns the smartphone into the central control element during the ride. The goal was to create a clear, user-friendly interface that makes all important functions and information easily accessible at a glance during the use of the e-bike.
The app acts as a cockpit for the eBike and displays essential data such as speed, battery level, and distance traveled. One of the key features is navigation, which always shows the current location and route to the rider. The speed display and other real-time data are prominently presented to make important information immediately accessible.
In addition, the app offers a comprehensive statistics page that processes ride data such as speed histories and energy consumption. This allows users to analyze past rides and track their performance in detail.
The tour planning is directly integrated into the app, allowing new routes to be created easily and quickly. The main menu also offers access to features like bike management, light settings, and safety options, such as locking the bike.
The design places particular emphasis on a minimalist and clear layout to present all information clearly and understandably, without overwhelming the user. The operation is intentionally kept intuitive to ensure easy and safe use while riding.
This project represents an exciting connection between software and hardware and elevates the riding experience with an eBike to a new, more comfortable level.
