Settlers of Catan 3D
The famous game in 3D
The idea behind the 3D version of Settlers of Catan arose from intensive engagement with the original game. The creative process was characterized by the desire to create a minimalist design, which, however, due to the complexity of the game, posed its own challenges.
The individual fields were carefully designed, with subtle colors and rounded corners creating an aesthetically pleasing look. The fields are connected by magnets, which not only ensure stability, but also allow for easy handling of the game.
The design of the villages and cities was an iterative process that required numerous attempts to achieve the perfect, uniform look and the desired texture. The challenge was to maintain the minimalist design while simultaneously representing the complexity and individuality of the settlements.
The result is a 3D version of Settlers of Catan that not only captures the fundamental elements of the game, but also becomes a visual and tactile experience through its minimalist design and thoughtful design of the villages and cities. The creative process was characterized by experimentation and the pursuit of perfection in order to create a contemporary yet faithful representation of the original.
