Modular lighting system
This light was created from the idea of integrating illumination into a space in an unusual, almost sculptural way. Inspired by the minimalist aesthetics and geometric forms often seen in science fiction worlds I wanted to create an object that feels like a modern light sculpture – reduced yet with a strong visual presence.
The central core, 3D printed in metal, forms the solid center that houses the wiring and anchors the structure. The illuminated rods are arranged to float symmetrically around the core connected by transparent elements produced with powder printing. This construction provides stability while making the rods appear almost weightless as if suspended in space.
I deliberately chose the violet light to create a mystical and futuristic atmosphere. The color is meant to evoke foggy planetary surfaces or the subtle lighting inside spacecrafts. The design brings together my fascination with futuristic aesthetics and innovative materials resulting in a statement piece that bathes the space in an almost otherworldly light.
