Modular lighting system
With this light I wanted to bring illumination into a room in a way that feels almost like a sculpture. The idea came from the geometric shapes and sparse look of science fiction worlds, which have fascinated me for a long time.
At its center sits a core 3D printed in metal, which holds the wiring and anchors the whole structure. The glowing rods are arranged symmetrically around it and connected by transparent parts made by powder printing, so the construction stays stable while the rods look as if they were floating.
I chose violet light on purpose. It should feel mysterious and futuristic, like fog over the surface of a distant planet or the dim lighting inside a spacecraft, and bring my interest in science fiction and new materials together in one piece.
