Companion app for e-bikes
For a design project I developed a companion app that turns your smartphone into the control center of your e-bike. While riding, it works as the cockpit, with speed, battery level and distance shown large enough to read at a glance, and navigation showing your position and route.
A separate statistics page shows speed history and energy use for past rides, so you can look back at your trips and follow how your riding develops.
Routes can be planned directly in the app, and the main menu gives access to bike management, light settings and security features like locking the bike. With this much information in one app, the main job of the design was to keep the screens uncluttered enough to use safely while riding.
