Pendant lamp
With Fernández I wanted to design a lamp that brings classic lines together with a futuristic look, something that has fascinated me since I started studying design: connecting earlier design eras with today.
The organic curves and symmetrical lines draw on Art Deco and Mid-Century Modern, while the futuristic side comes from the materials and the way the light is broken up. The slats slide into the frame through a simple slot system and shape how the light spreads.
It was important to me that Fernández sets a mood somewhere between nostalgia and a vision of the future, instead of simply lighting a room.
