Washi
Ori’s shade is made from authentic Japanese washi, a paper that has been made for centuries for writing, screens and everyday objects. Its fine texture spreads the light softly and evenly, and the shade looks almost like fabric while still holding its shape.
Form
An upper body with defined edges opens downward in one sweeping curve and gathers the light into a concentrated beam. Despite the strong geometry, the lamp seems to float, held by a braided cable that also carries the power and by a second suspension that balances the weight.
Technology
Inside, a linear high-performance LED module sits on a rail, with the power supply on the left and the fixing point for the second suspension on the right. At 8,000 lumens and 4,000 kelvin, Ori gives bright, neutral light for places like universities or libraries, and its wide shade keeps glare down while lighting a large area.
Image Generation Process
All images were generated with Vizcom, Midjourney, Sora and Google Gemini, starting from CAD screenshots and finished with a lot of retouching in Photoshop. It took around 180 images to get to the four final visuals, and some of the in-between and failed results are part of the gallery.
