Sunburst Spool
Reusable spool for FDM printer filament
Bambu Lab already uses reusable spools instead of single-use ones that end up in the trash once the filament is gone, which saves waste and money. I took that idea and built my own redesign on top of it.
After analyzing the original Bambu spools, I replaced the round holes with a sunray pattern, which cuts print time considerably.
It took several iterations and tests to make sure the spool handles just like the original while being much faster to produce.
The spool can still be reused just like before, but it prints a lot faster, which makes a real difference if you print your spools yourself.
